As part of their science learning on Living Things, Year 3 have been taking a very close look at the different parts of a flower, using a magnifying glass. They had an intriguing hands-on lesson in which they dissected a flower in order to see all the parts that made it. At Braeburn, teaching and learning endeavours to bring theoretical concepts to life through the senses of sight, touch, sound, taste and smell. This laboratory lesson helped our investigative scientists in Year 3 to see, touch and name various parts of a flower, all the while inspiring future botanists.
