Year 3’s Day in Ancient Egypt

23rd October 2024

On Wednesday, 23rd of October, our Year 3 pupils celebrated their learning on Ancient Egypt with a fun-filled themed day. Dressed as mummies, pharaohs, gods, and goddesses, the Year 3s showcased their costumes in a lively fashion parade, set to traditional Egyptian music. The event even featured an impromptu dance, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The day was packed with engaging activities. During the Games lesson, the question, "Did Ancient Egyptians play cricket?" sparked playful debate, with our pupils enthusiastically proving that they could. They also crafted sarcophagus bookmarks, made personalised amulets, and wrote their names in hieroglyphics on papyrus, fully immersing themselves in the world of Ancient Egypt.

The day ended with a screening of Mummies in the school theatre, wrapping up what was an unforgettable experience. A fantastic time was had by all!
