8th October 2025
On Wednesday, 8th October, the Year 3s brought history to life during their Ancient Egypt Day, a vibrant celebration of what they have been exploring in their Topic lessons this half term.
The atmosphere in the morning was electric as students arrived dressed in creative and colourful Ancient Egyptian outfits, setting the tone for a fun-filled and educational day ahead. The festivities began with a lively fashion show in the KS1 play area, where students proudly showcased their costumes to cheers and applause.
After the fashion show, the pupils moved into their classrooms to take part in a variety of hands-on activities. They learned to write their names and secret messages in hieroglyphics on papyrus leaves, crafted sarcophagus bookmarks, and made beautiful amulets, which they wore with pride.
The day concluded with a screening of the film “Mummies,” which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was a fantastic day full of creativity, laughter, and learning—one that truly brought the wonders of Ancient Egypt to life!
