Year 4 Investigate Different States of Matter

8th September 2023

This term in Science lessons, Year 4 is investigating the different states of matter: liquids, solids and gases. They are not only determining what states different objects exist in, but also investigating if an object, given specific conditions, can exist in all three states. This week, the 4S's took to the science lab to investigate the differences between the 3 states of matter, looking at different objects and the states in which they exist, and determining what properties make up each state.

It is amazing to see our young scientists correctly identify the properties of liquids, solids and gases, as well as use the appropriate scientific vocabulary to explain these properties. Well done Year 4, we are looking forward to seeing you uncover more about this scientific phenomenon!
