Year 4 Trip to Oloolua Forest

7th July 2021

Year 4 Trip to Oloolua!

This second half of term, the children and teachers of Year 4 were extremely excited to head out on their day trip! Setting off on the bus, the students were curious of what the day would bring. We arrived at Oloolua nature trail, where we met the Infinity Outdoors team, who were ready for an adventure! We started our walk, when the students quickly noticed trails of safari ants - fortunately, we were all prepared with our long trousers and walking shoes.

Throughout the walk, the students learned about the different types of trees and creatures that you could find in the forest. Some students faced their fears and entered the dark cave - we were impressed with how many students demonstrated our value of bravery! Before we left the forest, we had one final stop at the beautiful waterfall - many students said that this was the highlight of their trip!

We worked up a big appetite on the walk and so the students were ready for the delicious meal at a restaurant! They quickly re-energised and then it was time to play! The students enjoyed the play equipment and climbing frame in the restaurant garden, before it was time to head back to school. There were lots of tired eyes on the journey back, but many students exclaimed that it was,'the best day ever!'

We are so delighted that the students were able to go on a trip this year: they have really earned it. The teachers were so impressed with the Year 4 students' behaviour and their positivity throughout the day. We hope that the day will remain in their memories as one of the best, during their time in Year 4!
