6th September 2024
On 6th September, Year 4 pupils attended the Threads Expo at the Sarit Center, a vibrant showcase of artistic creations. They marvelled at magnificent works of art made through both hand and machine sewing, with some stunning knitting and crochet pieces also on display. This trip was not only a visual treat but also served as an exciting source of inspiration for our young artists, who will soon begin designing and hand-sewing their very own Roman-inspired purses. This project ties in with their current history topic on the mighty Romans, and their influence on the world.
Our pupils returned brimming with ideas, eager to incorporate some of the intricate designs they admired at the expo into their own work.
Special thanks to Ms. Creevey for organising the Art trip, and to The Threads Organisation for hosting and inspiring our soon to be experienced sewers.
