Year 4’s ‘Back to the Future’ Day

15th March 2024

In recent Topic lessons, Year 4 explored historical narratives in English, particularly focusing on World War II events. To commemorate their learning, the pupils took part in a 'Back to the Future' day, reflecting on the past, present, and future's interconnectedness.

On this special day, The Year 4s arrived in themed costumes representing various eras, from historical icons like Mary Poppins to futuristic personas like astronauts. Their enthusiastic participation highlighted their understanding of how different time periods influence individuals, societies and the world at large.

The day’s activities not only showcased the students' comprehension of historical events, but also emphasised the profound impact of time on human experiences. Through creative engagement in creating time capsules, time machines, future classroom designs and more, Year 4s demonstrated a deeper appreciation for the passage of time and its significance in shaping our world.
