Year 5 Mlango Farm Trip

30th March 2022

Year 5 had a wonderful day at Mlango Farm. The day started with a tour around the farm, learning about the different herbs and vegetables grown at the farm, including fennel, sorrel, kale and other kitchen staples such as apples and carrots. We were even able to taste some edible flowers!

Before lunch we had a chance to meet and feed the animals, which included a rather volatile and scary looking turkey! After which we made eco-bricks for the farm which made the most of our leftover rubbish.

It was a fantastic day where the children learnt how to appreciate their food, the environment and learn about sustainable living.
