24th June 2025
On Tuesday morning, 24th June, at 8:00 a.m., the Year 6 pupils dove into action with an exciting and inspiring Swimathon to raise funds for the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA), as part of their community service programme.
The atmosphere around the pool was electric. From the very first whistle, all four Year 6 classes — 6B, 6J, 6K and 6S — showed incredible determination, energy and teamwork. Pupils swam their hearts out while their classmates, teachers, and supporters cheered enthusiastically from the stands.
In an incredible team effort, the pupils collectively completed a jaw-dropping 750 laps in the pool! Leading the charge was 6B, who clocked an outstanding 204 laps. Their enthusiasm and endurance helped set the pace for the rest of the morning.
But it wasn’t just about swimming — this was a fundraiser with a cause close to the pupils’ hearts. Through sponsorships and donations, the Year 6 Swimathon raised a whopping 146,335 Kenyan Shillings to support KSPCA's vital work in protecting and caring for animals across the country.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who participated, donated, supported, or simply cheered from the sidelines. The success of this event is a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a good cause.
