Year 7 & 8 Bring The Addams Family to Life: A Spooktacular Success!

From the 18th to 21st March, our Year 7 and 8 pupils took to the stage for their production of The Addams Family—and what a show it was!
Each year, it is truly inspiring to see our pupils commit themselves so fully to the production process. With countless after-school and weekend rehearsals, they continue to deliver performances that amaze us time and time again. What makes this even more remarkable is how they balance these demands alongside weekly sports fixtures, frequent tournaments, and academic responsibilities such as tests and projects. In fact, some pupils even left the stage and headed straight to the airport to represent the school and Kenya in rugby in the UK—an incredible testament to their dedication and resilience. Time and again, they rise to the occasion.
A timeless favourite, The Addams Family delighted audiences of all ages, with many adults transported back to their childhood as beloved characters such as Thing, Uncle Fester, and Wednesday were brought to life on stage. The Saturday morning performance also gave understudies their moment to shine, and they certainly did not disappoint—delivering confident and captivating performances that highlighted just how much our pupils have grown, matured, and developed into accomplished performers.
This production is yet another example of why Braeburn was recognised as the Best Learning Institution at the Kenya Theatre Awards.
A huge thank you goes to the dedicated production team: Mr Onyango and Jazz Moll, Director, Mr Williams, Directors of Music Mr Wilkinson and Ms Majuma, Director of Choreography Mrs Larson, and Director of Costumes Ms Bararino. We also extend our gratitude to the many teachers and teaching assistants who supported the actors throughout, and to the parents who tirelessly ensured pupils made it to and from rehearsals. It truly takes a village to put on a show of this scale—and what a show it was!
