19th June 2026
Following an intense week of planning, designing and refining their ideas, our Year 8 pupils proudly hosted the annual Science Fayre on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th June. This year's event was built around the exciting theme, "Smart Science for Growing Cities," challenging pupils to think beyond the present and develop innovative solutions to the challenges facing rapidly expanding urban populations.
Drawing upon their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and sustainability, pupils designed and presented a wide range of impressive projects. Visitors explored automated waste management systems, renewable energy solutions, intelligent traffic control networks, urban farming initiatives and many other creative concepts aimed at making cities cleaner, greener and more efficient. The quality of the projects reflected not only the pupils' scientific understanding but also their ability to think critically, solve problems and work collaboratively.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the event was seeing our young scientists confidently share their ideas with visitors, answering questions with enthusiasm and demonstrating genuine pride in their work. The Science Fayre was a wonderful celebration of curiosity, creativity, innovation and our strong international community.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all parents and families for their invaluable support throughout the preparation process. Whether helping to source materials, listening to presentations or providing encouragement along the way, your contribution played a key role in making this year's Science Fayre such a tremendous success.
