Year 9 Creative Expressions

This is a presentation of a few works of art that year 9s have been engaged In. Testing their capabilities in different areas of art and Craft Design.

Media: Paper

This is an adaptation of the cubism style using paper mosaic with the theme ‘Emotions’.

Task: Here the student is tested on composition, precision in cutting, sticking, use of colour and the ability to use one medium.

Student: Natalie Yr.9

Media: Graphite

This is an art drawn from observation, also known as live drawing, using graphite on paper, where the student draws what they see in front of them.

Task: Here the student is tested on the ability to observe, express what they see. The student is also tested on perspective drawing, use of light and shadow, generally the use of dry medium/graphite.
